The Fertility Show Roundup

It’s crazy to think that one whole week ago we had wrapped up day two at The Fertility Show and were exhausted but full of excitement having spoken to so many Intended Parents.

When we decided to join the show, we were initially a little nervous about whether there would be enough people interested in surrogacy visiting, and whether our advice and experience was actually needed.

It’s fair to say that we were blown away by how busy our stand was and absolutely humbled by the number of people who opened their hearts to us and asked for support. We want you all to know that we have been where you are, that we understand exactly how you feel and that everything we do comes from a place of wanting to support other IP's in finding their miracle babies.

This year was the very first time that Independent Surrogacy has been represented at The Fertility Show and we are so proud that we put on our big girl pants and showed up on the day.

Surrogacy is a complex path, there is no denying that, but it is a perfectly viable and feasible route to parenthood. Our aim with The Intended Parent has always been to remove the sensationalism around surrogacy. We want you to know that you don't have to be a celebrity to find a match, you don’t have to be a millionaire to afford this path and you don’t have to sign up to an agency if it’s not right for you.

There is no one size fits all when it comes to surrogacy, you need to choose the path that best suits your needs.

For both Fran and myself, cost was a big factor as well as the knowledge that some agencies were closed to new members and that waiting lists were long. Personally, I advocate independent surrogacy because these platforms don’t cost or ratio you out of parenthood.

Yes there may be more work required on your part, but hopefully that’s where we can come in to support you, as and when you need.

We’ll be opening registration for our first e-learning course later in the week, so do keep your eyes peeled for those emails and we will be back recording a new season of the podcast in June, ready for launch in July.

It’s going to be a busy summer but we can not wait to help build more beautiful families,

With Love,

Kreena xxxx
